Preschool Class
Preschool News Jan. 25-29
What a great way to start off the week with the Saints going to the Super Bowl! Sunday was full of excitement and students continued chanting black and gold! This week we will be discovering ways we can tell stories. Stories can be about us or family members. Another way to use stories to show what we know; for example how you get to school or your favorite foods. We will also be looking at different books and discuss if they are real or fantasy. Last week each student wrote and illustrated a book that we will be using before nap time. Today we talked about the person who writes the words in the book is called the author. Each day the star of the day will get to sit in the Author's Chair and read their story to the class. This will be a very special time for the students to share their own writings to the class! In the Listening Center there is a new story: "Clifford Visits the Circus!" Ask your child if they visited the listening center and how does Clifford help out while at the circus? We went through all the colors of the week and we will now begin learning about different textures! Help your child find one item each week to share with their class on their special day! This week we will be talking about things that are soft. Students love this time to bring something special from home to share with their friends! This week during Jesus Time we will learn about how Jesus chooses the 12 disciples. Jesus chose His disciples to follow Him and be His helpers here on earth. He also calls us to be His helpers, and He helps us to show love to one another. Jesus says, "Love one another." John 13:34
