Enrichment Classes Each day of the week the students experience a different enrichment class: Physical Education, Music, Computer, Library, and Art. In addition, they are taught basic Spanish vocabulary one day a week. Behavior During the first week of school, the class as a whole brainstorms the classroom rules that will be in place all year long. We follow a basic color system (green, yellow, red). Each child starts the day on green and gets one verbal or nonverbal warning. After that, the child must change their color and receive a consequence for misbehavior. Communication A newsletter goes home every Friday, detailing the tests, homework, and material we will be learning during the next week. The newsletter also lists the spelling words, vocabulary words, and memory work for the week. Parents are welcome to contact me via phone, note, or e-mail with any questions, comments, or concerns.
